A few more words on TCF score reviews
In the previous post on TCF result reviews, I wrote that one test centre in France had refused to accept a review request, saying it had to be sent directly to France Éducation, the organization that develops the exam.
I promised to tell you what would come of it. I hoped that the center was responsible and was not “footballing” the dealer in order to get rid of it.
But no, no miracle happened. The test centre insisted that it was not responsible. My message reached France Éducation during the Christmas holidays, so they replied a few days later, saying that the test centre was precisely where such requests should be handled. We had come full circle. In the end, the centre agreed to accept the appeal request, but only after payment.
What is most annoying in this whole story is the artificial delay in deadlines. The test taker has only 30 days after receiving the initial test results to apply for a review. But it turns out that if you don’t decide on it right away, you doubt it, you’re busy, and then the center starts to get out of whack, you can easily miss the deadline.
