How to move to Canada: our story – part 12

The plot of our series, the beginning of which can be read at this link, is now measured not in news from the visa center, but in the level of my zen. In recent months, I have almost achieved enlightenment.

As you remember, in November we received the case notes we had requested in order to find out something specific about our case. The essence of what was presented on 120 sheets boiled down to the main thing - our application is on hold because of COVID.

That same day, we requested more detailed records. In December we already received 400 pages with approximately the same meaning. Plus there was a note that the medical examination results had expired, but there were no instructions on what to do about it. Canada is on lockdown and no one knows about the prospects.

So, a year and a month have passed since our first submission of documents. Previously, we were worried that we could not plan anything because of the suitcase mood and the daily expectation of news. Today we try to live as if Canada did not exist in our lives. For example, I shifted my focus and changed tactics. I don’t get involved in too serious matters that could tie us to our current place of residence for a long time. We continue to work, live, dream as usual. And we even find advantages in the current situation.

Without this pause, perhaps there would not be this blog, this site, and me as a teacher who prepares candidates for exams and feels inspired in this role.

I made a lot of good acquaintances. I am pleasantly surprised how much support I receive from friends, like-minded people, and students.

I follow what is happening in the communities of potential immigrants - there is a lot of unrest. People are outraged and criticize Canada.

We decided to take a philosophical approach to this. Everything will happen when it happens. The surprise will happen at the right and most appropriate moment. As it happened with my exam, when I was almost desperate, I sent a request to the Universe and I received an answer. Only now I don’t despair, but believe that everything is going as it should. So let's move on with our lives!

To be continued!
