Podcasts in French

Don’t underestimate listening comprehension. I learned that during the TCF exam when, alongside the French-from-France I was used to, Canadian and African French suddenly came through the speakers.

My convolutions were creaking, my eardrums were smoking. After half an hour of execution, the head became square. The result did not satisfy me.

Therefore, when I went to TEF in September, I prepared for war and pumped myself up to the fullest: I found a dozen podcasts, including dialects, after which I literally “glued” a wireless earphone to my ear and listened without interruption for a whole month. At first it was unusual, it looked strange, and not all family members liked it. But the game was worth the candle. I received a C2 for listening.

Unfortunately, the ability to perfectly understand speech by ear does not develop quickly and, even worse, is unnoticed by us. But with regular training, be sure that one fine day you will suddenly realize that you can hear, distinguish and understand almost everything.

I’m sharing podcasts that I listened to and recommend to you for training.
