Immigration prospects in 2025

Who will be more likely to immigrate to Canada in 2025?
As I work towards my new profession, I’ve subscribed to all sorts of immigration newsletters to keep up with the latest news and changes. Every day, I try to pick out what matters most. CIC News has published a new article about immigration prospects in 2025 for certain categories of Express Entry candidates.

Immigration Canada (IRCC) has focused on two groups of applicants who will benefit from an invitation to apply under Express Entry:
1.Candidates who are already in Canada.
This may be good news for temporary residents who want to transition to permanent residence. IRCC has set a target of 82,980 invitations for this category, which represents about 42% of the total number of economic immigrants.
2.Candidates falling into the target categories.
The priority categories have not changed.
There are 6 of them and I’ve already talked about them wrote in 2023, when such samples first appeared
But this year we have already seen that the French language proficiency category accounted for 9 selections and 21,400 invitations - almost half of all targeted selections!
This suggests that French language proficiency is becoming an increasingly important advantage in the immigration process, and there may be even more such selections in 2025. I'm sure you know what to do with this.
