How long must you wait to retake TEF/TCF Canada?
In how many days can I retake the French exams for immigration? ⠀
Just a year ago, you had to wait 30 days before retaking TCF Canada, and a full 60 days for the TEF.
“This means that if you take the test on October 25, you will be able to retake it only after December 24,” is what they told me when I tried to sign up last fall. ⠀
I don’t know at what point everything changed, maybe at the same time when the evaluation system was revised and a new scale was introduced in TEF - in October 2019. But on the official websites it is written that at the moment both exams require a break of only 30 days between sessions. ⠀
Is this relevant for those taking TCF in Moscow and St. Petersburg? I'm not sure. The event takes place once every six months at best.
But for those centers that are ready to “get together” especially for you, on a date convenient for you personally, or for those taking TEF, which still has regularity, it is important to know the deadlines and comply with them.
If you plan well, you can manage to get your grades and have time to immediately sign up for the next retake if the results do not satisfy you. ⠀
Well, another important point is that no one forbids taking two different exams without any interval. In cities where TEF and TCF are accepted, for example, in Moscow, this is quite possible. ⠀
Another question is that you will have to prepare for two formats at the same time. But where did ours go?!
