Cheating in TEF/TCF exams
Today I want to discuss actions that may be considered cheating in an exam, and the possible consequences.
- You are not allowed to send someone else to take the exam for you. For many people, that is obvious and unacceptable, but remember how often stand-ins were used for university entrance exams. Some might wonder whether they could get away with it here too… No, friends, that is unlikely. Candidates are photographed at international exams. Substitution is ruled out. ⠀
- No gadgets can be used. Smartphones, tablets - everything must be put away. Even just taking a “I’m in an exam” selfie would be a bad idea. No matter how friendly the situation and no matter how loyal the examiners are, there is no need to provoke them again. ⠀
- You should not communicate with other candidates during the exam itself, even just ask them for an office. First of all, you distract people so much. And secondly, these actions can also be regarded as an attempt to cheat or write off. Make sure you have all the necessary supplies with you. If you are taking the exam by hand at your center, be sure to specify what color the pen should be, ballpoint or gel.
This is an important point. But it’s better not to use your own drafts - you will be given sheets for notes. ⠀
- Along with your gadgets, put all textbooks, notebooks, cheat sheets and other educational materials in your bag. ⠀
Simply put, it is better not to make unnecessary dubious movements, but to demonstrate that you are using the knowledge that is stored exclusively in your head. ⠀
❗️What can attempts to deceive lead to:
▪️Your result may be cancelled.
▪️You may be prohibited from taking this exam for several months, up to a year or more.
▪️The official website states that the more serious the violation, the harsher the punishment. I would not recommend testing these limits... ⠀
