HOW TO MOVE TO CANADA: OUR STORY — PART 16, THE FINAL CHAPTER

Exactly three years passed from the idea to moving to Canada. Here beginning. And the most difficult of them was the last month. There is no need to explain anything here.

We are in Ottawa now, recovering from the long journey. We wake up at 5 a.m. local time and crash around 9 p.m. We are 7 hours behind Moscow. Despite my background in aviation, I have never felt so awful from jet lag. Still, I hope we will soon get back to normal.

Those who have not been vaccinated with vaccines approved in Canada must quarantine for 2 weeks. This is about us. Another 10 days and we will be released.

Although there are plenty of amazing things in the house. Over the past few days, we have learned to sort garbage and use local household appliances. It’s absolutely gigantic in size: you can climb into the drum of the washing and drying machine with your feet, the microwave has a built-in hood a meter wide, and you can sleep in the oven, like in a capsule hotel.

In general, we’re getting used to it! In a few days they promise to “bring” excellent internet. Then we'll live.

In the meantime, I invite you to read the detailed history of our relocation in Telegram channel.
